But does this all really work? I decided to try it out.

On placing my order, I received my download links pretty much instantly — and got to work exploring the contents.

The complete Sleep Solan program includes a 40+ page pdf user manual to get you started on the right foot, and 12 different mp3s sleep sessions so you can tailor your own personal sleep sessions.

The first thing that strikes you with this program is how genuinely comprehensive it is. Many similar programs have a “one size suits all” approach when it comes to brainwave entrainment. I know, because I’ve tried many of them in the past. You listen to a single audio MP3 and it’s supposed to help you fall asleep. But life isn’t like that, and while such sessions may work for many that use them, the rest require a more personalized prescription.

Certainly, there are sessions in there for handling occasional sleeplessness. But you’ll also find sessions for getting to sleep when you have chronic insomnia, a slow wave disorder (such as depression), or for deep healing sleep when you have chronic pain.

Surprisingly, I dozed off within minutes. I woke up naturally almost 8 hours later, a true miracle for someone like myself, typically tortured with just four hours of sleep a night, maximum.

March 2020 Brain Evolution System Update

I wish I could truly put into words my experience with the brainwave entrainment Brain Evolution System. Please understand that this is not the only meditation method I use. I use many meditation techniques and I am constantly researching and exploring different methods so I can bring you the best information possible for learning how to meditate.

February 2019 Brain Evolution System Update

I just wanted to give you a quick update on my progression and use of the BrainEv system. I am still using the system about three to five times a week. I have reached the point where I use Level 6 mostly, but about every month, I go back through all six levels starting with Level 1 on Monday, 2 on Tuesday up to Level 6 on Saturday and continue with level six for the next thirty days.

I am using the deep Theta levels in level six as a creative tool for ideas and problem solving for my personal life and for MeditationLifeSkills.com. It is proving to be a vital tool in my business and personal life. The clarity I get from this brain technology is astounding, to say the least.

Brainwaves: The Signatures of Your Mind

Let’s briefly look at the science. Your brain consists of 100 billion brain cells, and each of those cells talks to each other using little spikes of electricity. The overall pattern of this activity can be measured using an electroencephalography (EEG) machine.

This overall pattern is represented as a “frequency”, and that frequency can be thought of as a signature for your state of mind. We have different names for each frequency range: beta, delta, and alpha, for example.

Right now, you’re alert and conscious, and so you’re most likely operating in the beta range of 12-30 Hz. (Hertz, meaning cycles per second.) When you’re asleep at night, you’re in the delta range of 0-4Hz.

We also know the exact meditation ‘signature’ frequencies too. By observing Zen monks in practice, we can see that the more advanced the meditation, the deeper the brainwave frequencies, while you remain awake and conscious.

So: The more advanced the meditation, the deeper the brainwave frequencies, and the greater the benefits in your life.

The problem is that it can take years to train yourself to access those deeper states of meditation. You either find it too difficult to quieten your mind or find yourself dropping off to sleep. And that’s where brainwave entrainment comes into play.

100 Years of Brainwave Entrainment Research

Brainwave entrainment is an area of science that has been heavily researched over the past 100 years. And it provides the key to improving your meditation results, quicker than you ever thought possible.

Let’s consider how it works. Imagine striking a tuning fork, and holding another tuning fork next to it. What happens? The second tuning fork starts vibrating at the same frequency as the first.

The same thing happens with the brain. It plays “follow the leader.” If you expose it to a particular frequency, the brain follows and copies that frequency. This is a phenomenon in science known as brainwave entrainment.

Now, this is where it all gets really clever. Remember, we know the frequencies associated with super-deep meditation. And we know that the brain follows frequencies when exposed to them.

So, we create a form of stimulation that incorporates those frequencies and exposes them to the brain. Typically this is done through a simple audio file (such as an MP3), using isochronic tones or binaural beats to deliver the frequency.

I recently got hold of a program that claims to be the next generation in meditation. It’s called the Zen12 meditation program. How could that be true? What could you possibly add to the meditation experience?

You listen to each level for a month, then move onto the next. Each level is also available in different “flavors”: guided meditation, relaxation music, sounds of nature, and so on. I opted for relaxation music. And, as per the instructions, I hit play on my phone, sat back on my sofa, and chilled out. Twelve minutes later, and I was coming round again. Wow! I felt refreshed. I was calm and relaxed, while also focused.

I felt like I was “on form”, perhaps even “in the Zone” if I were being cliché. I decided to credit my experience to the smoothie I had that morning and went about my daily business. My day was productive, joyful, and better than usual in so many ways.

A couple of days later while completing this Zen12 review, and after discrediting my smoothie theory, I decided to try the Zen12 session again. Same results. And then the next day: the same results again. It was astounding. I was finally discovering why everyone raved on about this meditation!
